Battle of the Branches Run/Walk

A friendly competition between all branches of the military to raise awareness in the Fight against Veteran Suicide. One Branch wins the title for the most registered participants, but the real WINNERS are the Veterans, their families and those of you who registered for the event.
 
Proceeds from this event support Rally Point Arizona.
Services provided through Rally Point AZ are free of charge for Veterans and their families.

 

Why you should register for the Battle of the Branches 5K Run / Walk

It is estimated that at least one in five Veterans and service members will struggle with substance abuse, relationship issues, stress, hopelessness and even thoughts of suicide. Statistically, 53% of Veterans are more likely to die by suicide than Non-Veterans and Rally Point Arizona Military Navigator program aims to reduce those numbers.

Drawing on their lived experience, Rally Point Navigators provide the needed guidance, access to resources, and peer support necessary to ensure those who have served us know they are not alone. Often all it takes for a person to reach out and ask for help is knowing there will be an outreached and understanding hand on the other side, because they have been there too. While services provided are free to Veterans, military members and their families, financial support through fundraisers, donations and sponsorships is needed to support the Rally Point Arizona Military program.

  • Pre- & Post-Race "Athlete's Brunch" (granola bars, fruit, water, etc)

Race Day Information

  • Race Day Check In and Registration will be available beginning at 8:00am at Steele Indian School Park.

    • We accept cash, check, and credit card on race day.  Race day price is $45 for the 5K

    • All shirts sizes may not be available on race day (please register online before race day to guarantee your shirt size choice).

  • Wheelchair, stroller, and leashed pet friendly event.  

  • The course will take you through dedicated running trails (mixed surfaces of grass, compacted dirt, asphalt, and concrete) at Steele Indian School Park.  Please note - this is an open trail system and does not close for our event.  There will be bicycles, othere runners, and possibly even horses along the course.  Please be good stewards of the course and share!!

  • October 7th 2:00PM -  Packet Pick-Up at Sole Sports - Arcadia from 2:00 - 5:00pm

  • October 8th 8:00AM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens at Steele Indian School Park

  • October 8th 9:00AM - 5K Begins

  • October 8th 10:00AM - Awards Ceremony Begins (approx)
