Battle of the Branches Run/Walk

Battle of the Branches is an annual event to raise awareness in the fight against  Veteran suicide. The 5K Run / Walk event is a friendly competition between all branches  of the military. One Branch wins the title for the most registered participantsbut the real WINNERS are the Veterans, their families, and those of you who registered for the event.

Proceeds from this event support the Rally Point Arizona Navigator Program

It is estimated that at least one in five Veterans and service members will struggle with substance abuse, relationship issues, stress, hopelessness, and even thoughts of suicide. It is reported that 22 Veterans per day complete suicide, which is substantially higher in comparison to the general population. As part of the Rally Point Arizona Navigator program, the goal is to reduce those numbers.

Rally Point Navigators provide the needed guidance, access to resources, and peer support necessary to ensure those who have served us know they are not alone. While services provided are free to Veterans, military members, and their families, financial support through fundraisers, donations, and sponsorships is needed to support the Rally Point Arizona program. Race Day Information

  • Race Day Check In and Registration will be available beginning at 6:30am at Arizona Falls / G.R. Herberger Park.

    • We accept cash, check, and credit card on race day.  Race day price is $50 for the 5K

    • All shirts sizes may not be available on race day (please register online before race day to guarantee your shirt size choice).

  • Wheelchair, stroller, and leashed pet friendly event.  

  • The course will take you through dedicated running trails (mixed surfaces of compacted dirt, asphalt, and concrete) at Arizona Falls.  Please note - this is an open trail system and does not close for our event.  There will be bicycles, othere runners, and possibly even horses along the course.  Please be good stewards of the course and share!!

  • October 4th 3:00PM -  Packet Pick-Up at Sole Sports - Arcadia from 3:00 - 6:00pm

  • October 5th 6:30AM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens at Arizona Falls

  • October 5th 7:30AM - 5K Begins

  • October 5th 8:30AM - Awards Ceremony Begins (approx)
